JOÃO ANGELINI IS SELECTED TO THE 2º DÉCIO NOVIELLO PRIZE FOR VISUAL ARTS AND PHOTOGRAPHY

The exhibition project Do que somos feitos e o que deixamos, by artist João Angelini, was awarded the second edition of the Décio Noviello Prize for Visual Arts and Photography. With the opening date still to be announced, the show happens at the Genesco Murta Gallery, Palácio das Artes, and gathers works from different types of media, ranging from drawings and prints to animations and video-objects. Gathering themes such as social organization, labor relations, tools for territorial occupation, financial system, ballasts and commodities, the project puts together a set of 20 works produced by the artist between 2019 and 2021.

The Décio Noviello Prize for Visual Arts and the Décio Noviello Prize for Photography are given by the Government of Minas Gerais, the Minas Gerais State Secretariat for Culture and Tourism, and by the Clóvis Salgado Foundation.
