Galeria Leme is changing its address. It remains faithful to its identity, maintaining the unique architecture originally designed by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, once again with the collaboration of Metro Arquitetos.
The new space is an update of the original project, featuring a second exhibition room, a larger collection, and a central courtyard.
To celebrate this change, we have invited several artists who closely followed this process to create works related to this transition.
It will be a progressing exhibition. Some works document the construction of the new space, while others depict the destruction of the old one and its transformation. These artworks will be presented from January 4th to February 15th, 2012, as a way to interpret this unique situation—a reinterpretation of the transposition of a space.
