Milton Marques

11/02/2014 - 15/03/2014

In his second exhibition at Galeria Leme, Milton Marques will present a new series of works built in a moment of revision and deepening of his research on the poetics of machinery, which has been a recurring theme throughout his entire trajectory.

The artist developed, for years, a work that has as one of its starting points in the use of inoperable technological machines and gadgets, destitute from their original role and displaced from daily use (here interpreted as the normal use to which they were first made to). These pieces resurface as part of unusual mechanisms of moving images’ construction. Milton conceives and builds projection and image creation mechanisms from these salvaged technological fragments.
