About the Exhibition:
The exhibition “It Must Be Seen. The Autonomy of Colour in Abstract Art” brings together major figures from 20th and 21st-century art to explore color as an essential principle. With a special focus on the use of planar color, the show features paintings, sculptures, photography, installations, and textiles, offering an immersive experience.
David Batchelor, renowned for his research on color in contemporary art, is among the featured artists. His work engages with chromatic freedom and the presence of color as an independent element in artistic composition.
In addition to the artworks, two special spaces complement the exhibition: one dedicated to 18th and 19th-century color theories, and another, called Coloramas, which provides an expansive experience on the visual impact of colors.
🔹 A vibrant and immersive experience celebrating color in abstract art!
