Gabriel Giucci

Princeton, United States, 1987.
Lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil.

Gabriel Giucci is a visual artist focused on drawing and painting. Giucci attended the Design program at PUC for a year, then transferred to the Fine Arts program at UFRJ, where he received training in figurative drawing and art history. He was awarded a scholarship to the Parsons School of Design and spent a semester there. Inspired by the city’s museums and galleries, he concentrated on developing his own artistic work.

Since 2021, the artist has been dedicated to painting landscapes. He combines photographic records from his walks through city streets with images sourced from the internet. By omitting urban elements, Giucci creates primitive landscapes of the Brazilian coast. His appreciation for technique, combined with the freedom of brushstrokes, results in works that induce a contemplative state.

Princeton, EUA, 1987. Lives and works between São Paulo, Brazil and New York, United States.
