It has been this attitude towards light that I not only experienced in the historic buildings but also in the contemporary architecture of this country.\u201d\r\n\r\nAbout the artist:\r\nCandida H\u00f6fer (Eberswalde, Germany, 1944). Lives and works in Cologne.\r\nCandida H\u00f6fer firts studied Film at the Kunstakademie Du\u0308sseldorf, and then Photography with Bernd Becher. Her work has been shown in museums such as the Kunsthalle Basel, the Kunsthalle Berne, the Portikus, Frankfurt am Main, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Power Plant, Toronto, the Kunsthaus Bregenz and the Museum Ludwig, Cologne. In 2002 Candida H\u00f6fer participated in Documenta 11.
