In this group of works Antonio Malta continues his research on the abstract and figurative possibilities of painting, reformulating and reactivating formal elements of modern origin.\r\n\r\nTo reflect about this body of work four Brazilian artists were invited, Ana Elisa Egreja, Dudi Maia Rosa, Jac Leirner and Rodrigo Andrade, all close to Antonio Malta and his production. They will freely produce four series of interpretations about the artist and the watercolors that will be integrated in the exhibition in order to establish a dialogue with the works.\r\n\r\nAbout the artist:\r\n\r\nAntonio Malta Campos (S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, 1961. Lives and works in S\u00e3o Paulo).\r\n\r\nAntonio Malta Campos began his career as one of the founders of the studio Casa 7. In 1985, held his first exhibition in S\u00e3o Paulo. After a few years working as an architect in the 90\u2019s, Malta resumed his artistic career. Among its major institutional exhibitions in recent years include: \u201cAntonio Malta and Erika Verzutti\u201d Centro Cultural S\u00e3o Paulo, 2012; \u201cPangaea: New Art from Africa and Latin America,\u201d Saatchi Gallery, London, 2014 and the 32nd S\u00e3o Paulo Biennial, 2016.\r\nHis work is part of collections such as the Pinacoteca do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil and the Saatchi
