Watercolors Antonio Malta Campos

23/11/2016 - 28/01/2017

Galeria Leme presents the first solo exhibition of Antonio Campos Malta in its space.

The artist, who participates in the 32nd São Paulo Biennial, Live Uncertainty, presents a set of never before exhibited watercolors, developed between 2010 and 2016. In this group of works Antonio Malta continues his research on the abstract and figurative possibilities of painting, reformulating and reactivating formal elements of modern origin.

To reflect about this body of work four Brazilian artists were invited, Ana Elisa Egreja, Dudi Maia Rosa, Jac Leirner and Rodrigo Andrade, all close to Antonio Malta and his production. They will freely produce four series of interpretations about the artist and the watercolors that will be integrated in the exhibition in order to establish a dialogue with the works.
